No continent
is suffering the devastating effects of a high infant mortality
rate like Africa. A combination of factors such a poor pre and
postnatal care for mothers has played a key role in the
devastating effects of the Child's Health in Africa.
My name is
Ketsya Manuella Amboise and I am a PharmD. candidate at the
University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy.
I was born
on the small Caribbean island of Haiti. My parents Yves
and Margarette Amboise raised me in my hometown of Stamford
Connecticut.
At an early
age my parents instilled in me a strong sense of faith, service
to my community and love for education.
I believe
that pharmacy organizations such as pharmacist for Africa
develop the pharmacy student into a professional by providing an
environment where they can gain confidence while working with
other healthcare professionals in underserved communities and
promote the profession of pharmacy.
